The Patriot Games now have an official schedule.
Details about the Freedom 250 event, in which teens will compete in a three-day athletic competition, have remained sparse. What we know: Events start Sunday and run through Tuesday in Geneva, Ohio. Contestants will be between 14 and 17 years old. Each state will have a male and female representative, most of whom were selected from an application pool. There will be two winners, one of each gender, who will share a $250,000 prize pool. And the ESPN app will broadcast every moment.

What will any of this actually consist of? That was a mystery until ESPN announced its broadcasting plan Thursday morning.
Sunday will feature dodgeball and kickball. Monday is the “Varsity Circuit” and “Operation Endurance,” two vague events that may involve track-and-field contests. Tuesday will include tug-of-war and pop-a-shot before a semifinal and final, which will determine the winners.
“The athletes will be tested on the skills from the Presidential Fitness Test, go through a military-inspired boot camp circuit,” ESPN wrote in its press release. “And finalists will compete in an obstacle course designed to test strategy and skill.”

A one-hour, prime-time ESPN on ABC special on Aug. 13 will recap the weekend’s events.
