President Donald Trump has unveiled an updated rendering <\/b>of himself to appear inside a U.S. passport commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence.<\/p>

The image was shared by the White House, which labeled it a \u201cPATRIOT PASSPORT<\/a>.\u201d Trump also posted a picture of what he called \u201cThe U.S.A.\u2019s New Passport\u201d on social media<\/a> Friday, saying that it said: \u201c\u2018Welcome, but be good!\u2019\u201d \u2014 words that don\u2019t appear in the images Trump posted.<\/p>\n

The State Department first said it would offer the limited edition passport<\/a> in April, in another instance of <\/b>Trump seeking to stamp his personal brand on the nation. But that earlier version included different artwork.<\/p>\n

The image shared Friday shows a sample passport page with Trump\u2019s portrait surrounded by text from the Declaration of Independence, with his signature and \u201cUnited States of America\u201d written underneath.<\/p>\n

A separate page shows an image of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence that appears to be based on John Trumbull\u2019s oil painting<\/a>, which took more than three decades to complete. \u201cUnited States of America 250\u201d is written underneath in red and gold, and both pages have the American flag rippling across the background.<\/p>\n

A State Department spokesperson said the agency is \u201cproud\u201d to release a passport that \u201cboldly honors our nation\u2019s founding and our President.\u201d<\/p>\n

The passport will have a \u201cFreedom 250\u201d gold flag on the back cover, the spokesperson said. The Trump portrait will go on the inside front cover while the Founding Fathers will appear on the inside back cover.<\/p>

It will be issued at the Washington Passport Agency in D.C. from July 6 \u201cwhile supplies last,\u201d the State Department said<\/a>. <\/b>Those who want a regular U.S. passport can still apply online or via mail-in applications, as well as in person at other agencies or at U.S. embassies or consulates abroad.<\/p>\n

The latest image features a different picture of Trump, in which he appears in the Oval Office leaning over the Resolute Desk with balled fists, staring intensely into the camera<\/a>. It is based on a photograph taken by Daniel Torok that hangs in the Smithsonian \u201cAmerica\u2019s Presidents\u201d exhibition, replacing a previous photo<\/a> with a caption that noted Trump\u2019s first term, two impeachments and reelection, as well as the Jan 6, 2021, insurrection.<\/p>\n

The new version also features slightly different colors, with the president\u2019s signature in black and \u201c250\u2033 written in gold. In the previous version, the president\u2019s signature was in gold, and \u201c250\u201d did not appear.<\/p>\n

The White House did not immediately reply to a request for comment.<\/p>\n

The passport marks one of several ways Trump has cemented his brand on the U.S. government and the geography of Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

In addition to demolishing the White House\u2019s East Wing to add a $600 million ballroom<\/a>, painting the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool<\/a> and proposing a 250-foot tall triumphal arch<\/a>, his administration is producing a coin with Trump\u2019s image<\/a> on it and is set to launch \u201cTrump accounts\u201d<\/a> for children. Efforts to rename the Kennedy Center were ultimately unsuccessful after a judge ruled last month<\/a> that Trump\u2019s name be removed from the building.<\/p>
