President Donald Trump said in a social media post the Supreme Court\u2019s ruling upholding birthright citizenship is \u201cabsolutely insane\u201d and that he\u2019ll ask the court to reverse it.<\/p>

The high court struck down<\/a> Trump\u2019s order denying birthright citizenship to those in the country illegally or temporarily in one of the major cases of the term that ended last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be asking for a Rehearing by the United States Supreme Court, IMMEDIATELY. This miscarriage of justice will destroy America if they don\u2019t change their absolutely insane decision,\u201d Trump wrote Wednesday on Truth Social<\/a>.<\/p>

Trump is unlikely to get the justices to take up the case again, as the high court rarely grants rehearings. The last time the court agreed to do so was in 1965, according to Georgetown law professor Steve Vladeck<\/a>.<\/p>\n
