President Donald Trump said Monday that he had tentatively called off plans for the United States military to attack Iran after the heads of three countries in the Middle East asked him to give negotiations more time.<\/p>\n

In a Truth Social post<\/a> Monday, Trump said Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan had asked him to \u201chold off\u201d on a planned military strike on Iran \u2014 originally scheduled for Tuesday \u2014 in light of \u201cserious negotiations\u201d on a peace deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on my respect for the above mentioned Leaders,\u201d Trump wrote, he had instructed U.S. military leaders \u201cthat we will NOT be doing the scheduled attack of Iran tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>

Trump insisted, however, that the U.S. military is prepared to launch a \u201cfull, large scale assault of Iran, on a moment\u2019s notice\u201d if negotiations sour.<\/p>\n

He added that the deal would include \u201cNO NUCLEAR WEAPONS FOR IRAN!\u201d<\/p>\n

The United States and Israel initiated attacks on Iran on Feb. 28. Trump has claimed that the war is over amid tenuous negotiations over the country\u2019s future but has also threatened to renew attacks.<\/p>
