Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said Friday he does not support Rep. Cory Mills (R-Florida), who faces three GOP challengers in a primary Tuesday.<\/p>

Mills, 46, is running for a third term in Congress under a cloud of controversy, including an ethics investigation into possible domestic violence, which Mills denies.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not endorsed Cory Mills, and I do not support Cory Mills,\u201d DeSantis told reporters Friday during a visit to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, near Florida\u2019s 7th Congressional District, which Mills represents.<\/p>\n

DeSantis is not the first Florida Republican to come out against Mills in the primary. Reps. Anna Paulina Luna and Mike Haridopolos have pledged their support to Ryan Elijah, a former news anchor who is one of Mills\u2019s primary opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need leaders in Congress who serve with integrity, energy, and an unwavering commitment to the people who sent them there,\u201d Luna wrote in a social media post backing Elijah earlier this month.<\/p>

The House Ethics Committee is investigating \u201cserious and complex\u201d allegations against Mills, including possible domestic violence and campaign finance violations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last February, D.C. police responded to a report<\/a> that Mills had assaulted a woman. In October, a Florida judge granted<\/a> an order of protection against Mills in favor of an ex-girlfriend who accused him of threatening her with revenge porn. Mills denied any wrongdoing in connection with the claims.<\/p>\n
