Golfer Tiger Woods struck a plea deal in his DUI case Wednesday, resulting in a lesser charge and a five-year suspension of his driver’s license.

The hearing stems from the professional golfer’s March rollover crash and arrest in Florida — at least his fourth high-profile vehicle-related incident since 2009.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said at the time that Woods’s Land Rover clipped a truck, then rolled. Woods allegedly exemplified “signs of impairment” but passed his breathalyzer test and refused to submit to a lawful urinalysis test. A sheriff’s arrest report said deputies found two white pain pills, identified as hydrocodone, in Woods’s pocket.
Video footage from inside the court Wednesday showed the 50-year-old golfer sitting in a mostly empty Martin County courtroom.

After initially being charged with driving under the influence and pleading not guilty, the sides struck a deal amending the charge to a willful reckless driving offense. His charge of refusal to submit to a lawful test was also reduced.
In addition to the license suspension, he was ordered to pay $1,500 in fines.
“If you were to drive for any reason at all, you go immediately back to jail,” the judge told Woods and his attorney at the courthouse.
Woods left the court with his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump.
