The NFL has reportedly fined San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926, and Indianapolis Colts guard Matt Goncalves $8,847, for touchdown celebrations the league said mimicked chugging a beer. Presumably the announcements did not come in consultation with Bud Light, the official beer of the NFL.

Juszczyk, who is playing his 14th NFL season, is nicknamed Juice and has celebrated touchdowns by pretending to drink juice for his entire career. He told ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who first reported the fines, that he has never been penalized before. “And I don’t even drink beer,” he added. He is reportedly appealing the fine.
Goncalves’s transgression came after Tyler Warren scored, then handed the football to Goncalves, who pantomimed drinking from it. The league told the players their “imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste.”
