Democratic candidates are raising more money than Republicans in key Senate races, and Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) of Georgia has the most money at his disposal at $42 million.
Alongside Ossoff, the top battleground Senate fundraisers in spring were Democrats: James Talarico in Texas, former North Carolina governor Roy Cooper and former Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, according to disclosures due Wednesday. The top Republican fundraiser was Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, a Republican incumbent who seen as the most vulnerable sitting senator until embattled Democrat Graham Platner dropped out and upended the race.
A candidate’s money alone doesn’t guarantee a financial advantage in a campaign because outside groups can spend on races.
The super PAC for the Senate Republicans group had $239 million on hand compared with $126 million for the equivalent Democratic group, according to their recent disclosures.

At the end of May, filings showed that national Republican Party committees had an edge of nearly $150 million over their Democratic counterparts.
Other candidates who are not up for reelection this year or aren’t in competitive contests are still raising large sums. Those numbers are notable because the politicians considering a 2028 White House run can funnel money from their congressional accounts toward their presidential bid. They include Rep. Ro Khanna (D-California) with $16.9 million, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with $15.9 million and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Arizona) with $24.2 million in the bank.
